I'm alive and well.  Just been busy lately and haven't had a chance to do some moderate reflection.  I'd promise updates, but they'll come as they will.  Happily busy I am.

Thursday - no work, easy, relaxing day...
  1. After determining I was due for a load, decided to go home for laundry.  Bowser came along to toss and play games.
  2. Hmmmm....tossing a softball is only fun for so long...let's revive to good 'ole NES!
  3. As usual, it doesn't quite work.....even after all the guaranteed methods like holding the reset button, blowing the cartridge, and banging the case.
  4. I know!  Let's see what makes it work!
  5. ....About twenty screws later, we've reduced the venerable grey box into a basic motherboard and a few wires.
  6. Eureka!!  We've figured it out!  We OWN you, NES!!
  7. ...On to the adventures of Link in the ORIGINAL Legend of Zelda!
  8. Bleary-eyed....tossed some more until laundry was done.
  9. Back out to my pad, free dinner with the 'rents.  For Bowser and Air-on too.
  10. Joined by b_yimmm, and later by Mikeniffer.
  11. What to do.....I know!  Let's play catch.  In the dark.  Don't worry, I have one of those bright yellow balls.
  12. I can't see! I can't see!! Where's the ba---OUCH!  Oh.  Uh, guys.....not such a bright idea.  But we continue anyways and scare a young raccoon in the process.
Friday - nothing interesting.  Just work.

Saturday - all about the marathons...

4 hrs - Day start: 7am - worship planning until 11am.
1 hr - No frills for snacks and junk for the long wait in line.
2 hrs - 2:30 pm: start of Chauffer Ray.
3:30 pm: arrive in Hamilton with car full of estrogen-inspired panelists on range of subjects relevent to teenage girls.  And Brandon.  Picked up Irene, notorious catylyst for more discussion.
2.5 hrs - 4:25 pm: arrive at TACF for 2hr plus wait in semi-cold weather.  Intermittent tossing.
3 hrs - 7:30 pm: eardrums begin battle against onslaught of loud, loud, LOUD Hillsong United.
2 hrs - Chauffer Ray ends day by driving everyone home.

Sunday - Sabbath?
8:00 am - worship planning, Sunday school prepping
9:30 am - oi...forgot sample CDs
10:00 am - arrive to service late.  First time in years.
11:30 am - Why do people insist they "learn" better outdoors?
12:30 pm - Set-up for practice.
1:30 pm - Twelve-member worship team practice.  AHHHHHHHHHH!
3:00 pm - Retreat meeting.  Apparently I need to catch some phrases.
5:00 pm - Firefly
8:00 pm - studying?
9:30 pm - finally....lunch!
10:30 pm - errr...let's go do something.
11:00 pm - Aaron's, Bobby Lee antics, soothing tones of Morgan Freeman and penguins
1:00 am - long LOCAL drive from Brimley/Steeles -- Birchmount/Danforth -- Queen/Jones -- Broadview/Gerrard.
Why am I still up??

The day I'm set and pumped to start jogging again, it rains.  Ah well, spent 40 min on the rower.  I'll try again tommorrow.

I will be successful!

THINK:  Did someone get saved or did God do something awesome today around lunch time?

...I don't know what it was, but I felt like celebrating for no apparent reason.  I was gonna break out into the Happy Song and Undignified but I was already at work and that would've scared some folks.

Let me know!

I spontaneously skipped the tail-end of work today because...

I got Platinum tickets to the Raptors game!!  WOW!
Very out of the blue...

Mikey:  Hey, what are you doing?
Me: I'm at work; what's up?
Mikey:  Wanna go see the Raptors' game?
Me:  Not much of a fan...and I get off at 8:30.
Mikey:  They're PLATINUM tickets...
Me:  Really?   hmmm...okay let me see what I can do...
...
Me at work:  Errr....I'm gonna take the rest of the evening off.  I just got invited to go watch the game with platinum seats.  I'll take it as ELP (Emergency Leave-Personal)
Boss: Well, I can't say no if it's ELP.
...
Mikey: I'll be there in 10 min.
Me: GAH!

Raptors lead for the ENTIRE game, except for the LAST 3 MIN.....stupid raptors...give up the lead!  We lost by 2 I think.

But PLATINUM is the way to go!  Free food....hot dogs, chicken fingers, candy, pop, alcohol, ice cream...and best of all, it's all SERVED!  Oh yeah, sitting 3 rows back from the court doesn't hurt.

Platinum is the way to go...Thanks Casino Rama!  (Not mine, comped tickets from the Aunt and Uncle.)
